Mini Flash Fiction: The Undoing

I dreamed of her again, holding her tiny, pudgy hands which morphed so quickly into the hands of a child, then to those of a pre-teen. Her sparkling eyes smiled just as much as her lips did. Her golden hair shined like the sun- her very own brand of halo at the crown.

And then I woke to a world where she never existed.

“If you could take it all back, would you?”

You never know the weight of it until you say “yes.”

And there are powers in this world that do exactly that.

You never realize that you will live with their ghost forever, because you still exist. No one unwrote you, undid your history.
